FAQs

WE HAVE COMPILED ANSWERS TO THE MOST COMMON SKIP BIN QUESTIONS.

All of our bins are the “Marrell” type skips – these bins just get lifted off the back of the truck and get placed on the ground.

Currently our range include 2m3, 3m3, 4m3 and 5m3 skip bins. We have plans to add larger bins to our range within the next few months.
For dimensions & further information please view our Bin Sizes page.

It all depends on the the size of the mini skip bin and your individual requirements. You can call us on 0488 444 554 or use the “Get A Quote” form found on this website.

A cubic metre is shown as “m3”.
The mathematical formula is length x width x height (or depth)
As an example our 2m3 skip bins dimensions are:

Length 1.8m
Width 1.5m
Depth 1.0m

So the calculation would be 1.8m x 1.5m x 1.0m = 2.7m3

The best way to work out the size of the skip bin you need is to firstly work out the cubic metres of your waste.

If you can visualise all your waste that needs to go into the skip bin in one big pile, then measure the length, width and height (or depth) in metres.

Multiply the length x width x height (or depth) which will give you an approximate cubic metre.

Choose the mini skip bin closest to your cubic metre result.

All of our skip bins are slightly larger than the size mentioned.

As an example our 2m3 skip bins dimensions are:

Length 1.8m x Width 1.5m x Depth 1.0m

So our 2m3 skip bins will fit approximately 2.7m3 of waste.

All of our bins clearly state “Fill to rim only”. Skip bins should never be filled above the rim.
The skip bin should be loaded carefully to avoid materials falling out while in transit.
We can get fined for unsafe and/or overweight loads.
If you do not have enough room in your skip bin, you may consider reloading it or ordering an extra bin.
